Nuisance Animal Control
Please complete and return the following information:

2) Release Statement
3) Upload a map of area where applicant wishes to control nuisance squirrels;
property boundaries must be clearly delineated.
4) Landowner written authorization
5) List of individuals who will serve as subpermittees (persons controlling
nuisance squirrels): provide Dates of Birth (DOB), Driver's License numbers
All NAC squirrel depredation permits are valid for 30 days following issuance of permit. A daily report of your activities is required within 30 days of the expiration of your permit. Individuals who fail to return the required daily report within 30 days of the expiration of the permit will not receive future permits until such daily report is provided.
Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned to the applicant.
Permit will not be issued for control on non-commercial crop properties. Applicant must show evidence of intent to sell pecans commercially or a document showing Limited Liability Company or Incorporation.
Squirrel depredation permits shall be valid thirty days from date of issuance. The permittee who is authorized to take squirrels may use a shotgun no larger than a 12 gauge and no smaller than a .410 gauge.
Applicant must demonstrate to the Department's satisfaction that squirrels are in fact destroying a commercial crop of pecans.
The permittee shall delineate the specific area in which this permit is needed.
There is no fee charged for the issuance of this permit
The permit will not be granted to an applicant or any subpermittee who has been convicted of a Class 2 or greater wildlife or fisheries violation in the past three years.
A copy of the permit must be in the possession of the permittee or authorized subpermittees when undertaking nuisance squirrel activities. All individuals who control nuisance animals must possess current, valid, basic hunting licenses.
Permittees are responsible for all subpermittee actions; individuals in violation of LDWF regulations and permit terms will result in permit revocation.
